Sad News

I got some sad news last week to say that Marilyn Pearce had passed away. She is my friend Dave Pearce's mum and as you might remember Dave is the husband of my dear friend Sharon who died in June and so Dave has lost his wife and mum in 8 months!!  Please pray for him and his sister Andrea at this time and the extended family too. I am not sure yet if I can go to the funeral in England but my thoughts are with Dave and Andrea at this time. I know that Sharon and marilyn will be catching up with each other in heaven which is a great comfort to know.

Beautiful weather

Hi all, believe it or not the weather is lovely here in Tramore today, I took this picture on the beach a couple of hours ago. I was not feeling so well the last few days (like I might be getting something but thankfully I am not too bad and I was able to do club yesterday).
We have started a series on Jesus called 'A saviour for you' this will bring  us up to the Easter break.
Yesterday we did the story of Jesus healing the paralyzed man and how He could forgive sins because He is God. Thanks for your continued support love charis xx

Ennis

I had the joy of going to speak in Ennis Evangelical church a few weeks ago, I went to give them an update on my work as it was a year since I was last there and also to do the kids talk. It is thanks to churches like Ennis and to many other individuals that support me financially and in prayer and that I am able to do the work I do, thanks!

Memory Verse

This is the memory verse we have been learning during our olympic weeks....and we have been learning it by singing it to the tune of  'oh when the saints' - anything to try and get them to remember it!!! Please pray these words will impact their lives, there is SO much in this one verse - confessing to God alone,  God can ALWAYS be trusted to forgive us and HE can take away our sins-powerful lessons.

Club

It is half term and so we had no club this week, the last 3 weeks we have had a winter olympics theme, the first week we did the olympic rings and linked the colours to the gospel,  then we did wipeouts and how when athletes get knocked down they need to get back up again and we need to come back to God and ask him for forgiveness if we wipeout/sin and then last week we looked at coaches and how they play an integral role in the athletes life and how our coach is the Holy spirit he trains, encourages and is integral in our christian lives. Tomorrow I am going to start planning the theme for the next 5 weeks. thanks for your continued prayers   charis

Wet and windy tramore

We were battered here in Tramore over the last few days, but the worst is over (so we hear), I braved the elements and took this picture earlier today.
We had club on Wednesday (the day of the big storm) and because of this there were very few kids out (just 7), which is understandable, but it was nice we had some and were able to continue on regardless!
I hope you all survived the storm ok?
