Club

We started a series on Joseph at club this Wednesday, I decided to make a video for the lesson of a courtroom scene (as we didn't have enough helpers to do it live on the day), here is me getting into character!
We are down to just 2 helpers for club each week ie me and 1 other person, the other person does week on and week off so I have had to get someone else to fill in every second week, please pray for us to finish well this term. We had 12 kids on wed and it was hard work with just 2 people especially as one of the boys has ADHD.

A NEW HOME

Hi all I just wanted to let you all know I have a new house!! and hopefully it will be a new home very soon:) I saw 2 more places today and I decided to take the the second one I saw, I know I had not seen many (5) and I could have waited to see what else there would be but I don't think I can cope with too much looking this time around and although the cost is more than what i had hoped to pay the place is lovely and after a little walk on the beach and a pray I decided to go for it. I hope to get the keys the beginning of may and then I hope to take my time moving in. Thanks for your prayers and please continue to pray as that was the easy part the worst is yet to come!!!!!!

House Hunting

I have seen 2 houses in the last few days, both are good but both have pros and cons....I have to decide what I can afford and what I want to compromise on ......size, cost etc as well as moving in dates etc please pray for me as i make this decision that I didn't think I would be doing this again so soon and to be honest my heart isn't in it which makes it harder.

Prayer letter

Hi all I sent out my latest prayer letter via email and snail mail  (just before easter) but if you did not get one see below for my news:

    Tales from Tramore

UPDATE
Hi all, just a note to say hi and to update you on my news. I started work here in Tramore with European Christian Mission in January, so I have been in the job for just 2 ½ months! I raised around 85% of my support and was given the go ahead to start, please continue to pray God will provide ALL my needs. For the moment I have been concentrating on a kid’s club (King’s Kids) that I am leading on a Wednesday afternoon. I am also teaching in Sunday school and getting to know people in the church and on the team too. I am now starting to make plans for the summer, 5 day clubs etc. I have had several visitors come to see me in my new home and it has been great to see them and explore the area together. In other personal news my grandpa turned 90 in March (mum and I were at his party), and my sister who has been away for the last 6 months will be home for a few weeks in April so it will be good to see her. Thanks for your continued support and prayers love Charis xx

                          Commissioning
It was lovely to be back in my church, Grosvenor road Baptist church on the 13th January for my commissioning service. It was great to see many church friends and supporters and to be sent out into the mission field from my church.  Many supporters stayed for a lunch after church, thanks to Pauline and Arthur Travers for organising the lunch and to those who helped serve and wash up too! Thanks also to those who traveled a distance to be there such as Avril and Dave, mum, Jenni and Robert, Charlie and Miriam and Jonathan, Nicola, David and Sarah.

News Just in:
My Landlord told me that he and his family have to come back to Ireland and so I need to move out of the house before June. I am upset that I have to move again (the 3rd time in 1 year). I know it is going to be difficult and stressful to find somewhere to move to and then I have to pack and move again before June. Please pray for me at this time and for this situation

              ECM Conference
I will be at my first mission conference in Newcastle from the 3rd-7th April. The first few days will just be the missionaries and then from Fri 5th others (friends and supporters) will join us for updates and a celebration of 50 years of the mission in Ireland

King’s Kids (kid’s club)
We have been studying the life of David this term and we have had between 6 and 18 kids coming each week. Please pray for more non-church kids to come along more consistently. As the weather gets better and athletics starts back up, please pray the kids will continue to come to club or that we will have wisdom to know what to do instead. Please pray for me as I try and pitch the teaching at the right level, we have an age range between 5 -11. Please pray for more helpers too as we will be loosing some key people soon.

            Bookings
If you would like me to come and speak at your church, ladies group, small group, coffee morning etc please let me know and I would LOVE to come and speak about my work and the mission. Please get in touch and we will arrange a date.

Mission Conference

I am in Newcastle County Down for a few days at an ECM mission conference. Wednesday to Friday is missionaries and fri eve till sun eve is missionaries and supporters and friends. Newcastle is a seaside town at the foot of the mourne mountains it is a beautiful location and where we are staying the sea is across the road. I drove here though the mountains it was so beautiful as the sun was shining and the mountains and the fields were covered in snow, I would have loved to stop for a picture but there was no where to pull in. I traveled up from Cork where i was for a couple of days and mum will come up on fri to join the conference for the weekend. I only know a few of the missionaries and some of the mission staff so there are alot of new faces and names to learn (and I am bad with both), it will be good to get to know more of the missionaries and some of the mission staff too. Over the weekend there is a celebration for 50 years of ECM in Ireland and it will be good to learn more about the mission and it's beginnings too.  Please pray we have a good conference and that we rest, learn and go away encouraged too.
